Florence — 180km —Assisi — 176km — Rome

<Itinerary>

After breakfast, depart for Assisi, located in Perugia. It is the birthplace of St. Francis. Assisi is rich in religious significance, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000.
St Francis Basilica: The lower church has frescoes by the artists Cimabue and Giotto, the upper church Houses frescoes of scenes in the life of St. Francis previously ascribed to Giotto. Later today, we will Depart for Rome.

<Itinerary>

The highlight of today’s itinerary is to the Vatican City, the world’s smallest sovereign state. We will visit ★St. Peter’s Basilica was initially planned in the 15th century by Pope Nicholas V. It was reconstructed from 1506 and completed in 1626. The Basilica was designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. It is one of the most renowned works of Italian Renaissance architectures, lavishly decorated with marble, reliefs, sculpture and gilding. The burial site of Saint Peter is directly below the high altar of the basilica.
★Vatican Museum has 24 rooms, contain about 70,000 works, of which 20,000 are on display.
★The Sistine Chapel houses two of the world’s most famous works of art—Michelangelo’s celling frescoes and his Last Judgment.

After breakfast, explore the following sites in Rome.
◎ The Arch of Constantine
★ The Roman Forum
◎ The Colosseum, completed in AD 80, the largest amphitheater in the world. During the Roman empire, it was used to show exotic animals, the prisoners fought off wild beasts, and the gladiator’s fierce combat.
◎ Climb 138 steps between Spanish Square, surrounded by historical buildings, colorful flowers

Day 9

Rome —- 224km — Pompeii — 30km —- Naples

<Itinerary>

After breakfast, depart for Pompeii through the scenic region of Lazio and Campania. You may catch a glimpse of the majestic Monte Cassino Abbey perched on a hilltop (weather permitting). This site was the battle during the final stages of World War II. The Abbey was completely destroyed during the war but was later restored.  Continuing  to the ancient city of Pompeii, which was buried under thick volcanic ash nearly 2000 years ago. Witnessing the tragedy as well as the well-preserved ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Temple of Jupiter, and the forum.

Balance due By 60 days prior to departure date. If you register within 30 days from the departure date, full payment is due within 2 days from your registration date

** Cancellations will only be accepted in writing; cancellation penalty is as following:
120 days prior to departure: US$200 per person
119 days to 60 days prior to departure: US$300 per person
59 days to 30 days prior to departure: 50% of total tour fare
29 days to 15 days prior to departure: 75% of total tour fare
14 days to 7 days prior to departure: 80% of total tour fare
7 days or less prior to departure and/or cancelled during the touring period: 100% of cost
(Tour fare is Non-Transferable to other names and/or other services)
For any train tickets, ferry tickets and admission reserved, if you cancel, we will check with local suppliers for cancellation penalty
For Airline tickets that is purchased and issued, if you cancel, airfare is Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable, we will check with airline for cancellation penalty
Hotel Twin Room Cancellation Policy: If your roommate cancelled, the share with party will occupy a single room, the cancelled party is responsible for single supplement incurred
The above term and policy will not apply to any special tours and/or customized tours, all special tours and customized tours will base on its own term and conditions
