Day 2

<Itinerary>

Upon arrival, we will take you to ★Windsor Castle, a medieval castle and royal residence in the English county of Berkshire. The original castle was built after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror. In 1936 Edward VIII, adopting the title of Duke of Windsor, following his abdication, and he married Wallis Simpson, an American socialite. They remained married until his death 35 years later.

◎Akureyki is Iceland’s second city, also known as the garden city of the Arctic Circle

◎Godafoss (waterfall of the gods): The water falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 Meters. In the year 1000, the Lawspeaker Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði  made Christianity the official  religion of Iceland. After his conversion, he threw his statues of the Norse gods into the water fall

◎Husavik was the first place in Iceland to be settled by a Norse man. The Swedish Viking Garðar Svavarsson stayed there for one winter around 870 A.D.  Husavki means “Bay of Houses”

★Whale watching Tour: Husavik is known for the Whale Capital. You might spot the Humpback Whale, Minke, Blue whale and dolphins

Myvatn is a volcanic lake in northern Iceland. It was formed during a massive eruption 2300 years ago. Today the area is best known for huge numbers of birds that visit in the summer, and volcanic features that surround the lake.

◎Black Sand Beach, one of the highlights is the 120-meter-high promontory of Dyrholaey with its spectacular rock arch, bird nestling cliffs.  

◎Golden Circle sightseeing, includes magnificent Gullfoss, Geyser geothermal area

★Thingvellir National Park is the first national park in Iceland. Thingvellir is also where Iceland’s Parliament was founded in the year 930. This park is also two tectonic plates are drifting apart, which can be seen in the cracks and rock fractions which traverse the region

★Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), the second largest waterfall in Iceland. It takes a dramatic 32-meter Plunge into a canyon, creating stunning waterfall  

★Geyser geothermal area: The Great Geyser is an erupting hot spring; it can shoot up in the air as high As 70 meters
