Day 3

Reykjavik — 57km — Golden Circle — 57km — Reykjavik

★Thingvellir National Park is the first national park in Iceland. Thingvellir is also where Iceland’s Parliament was founded in the year 930. This park’s two tectonic plates are drifting apart, which can be seen in the cracks and rock fractions that traverse the region
★Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), the second largest waterfall in Iceland. It takes a dramatic 32-meter Plunge into a canyon, creating stunning waterfall
★Geyser geothermal area: The Great Geyser is an erupting hot spring; it can shoot up in the air as high as 70 meters

Vik — 272km — Hofn

<Itinerary>

★ Boat excursion sailing on Jokulsarlon Glacier located in southeast Iceland of Vatnajokull National Park.
◎Skeidararsandur is a vast sand plain, formed from alluvial deposits. The plain is about 1300 km²
★Skaftafell National Park is located South East of Iceland. In 2008, it became a part of the larger Vatnajokull National Park. It offers stunning landscape: mountain, glacier, waterfalls to name a few
★Vatnajokull Glaciers. It is a unique opportunity to experience the interaction between glacial ice and volcanic activities

Hofn— 348km —Dettifoss — 59km — Lake Myvatn

<Itinerary>

◎Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajokull National Park, which flows from the Vatnajokull glacier The falls are 1100 meters wide and have a drip of 44 meters down to the Jokulsargljufur canyon
◎Myvatn is a volcanic lake in northern Iceland. It was formed during a massive eruption 2300 years ago. Today the area is best known for huge numbers of birds that visit in the summer, and volcanic features surround the lake.

★Asbyrgi is a glacial canyon in the north of Iceland. Its Visitor Center exhibit the Jokulsargljfur Canyon area
★Godafoss (waterfall of the gods): The water falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 Meters. In the year 1000, the Law speaker Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland. After his conversion, he threw his statues of the Norse gods into the water fall
★Botanical Garden: explore this garden that offers many varieties of plants

★Reykholt is one of the most remarkable historical places in Iceland. It was home to Snorri Sturluson, A writer and statesman who lived in Reykholt during the Middle Ages. The bathroom with hot pot and a tunnel between the bath and the house can still be visited. Also, The Snorrastofa Cultural & Research Center was established in Reykholt
◎Hraunfossar is a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming out of the lava field.

** Cancellations will only be accepted in writing; cancellation penalty is as following:
120 days prior to departure: US$100 per person
119 days to 85 days prior to departure: 20% of total tour fare per person
84 days to 57 days prior to departure: 35% of total tour fare per person
56 days to 15 days prior to departure: 55% of total tour fare
14 days or less prior to departure and/or cancelled during the touring period: 100% of cost

For any train tickets, ferry tickets and admission reserved, if you cancel, we will check with local suppliers for cancellation penalty
For Airline tickets that is purchased and issued, if you cancel, airfare is Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable, we will check with airline for cancellation penalty Hotel Twin Room Cancellation Policy: If your roommate cancelled, the share with party will occupy a single room, the cancelled party is responsible for single supplement incurred
