Oslo is Norway’s capital city and the largest city
Trondhiem was named Kaupangen by Viking King Olav Tryqqvason in 997 CE. It served as the Capital of Norway during the Viking Age until 1217. It is the third populous municipality in Norway
The North Atlantic Highway was originally used as the national railway network in early 20th century.  In 1970’s, official decided to use it as a highway, the construction started 1983 and finished by 1989. The route won the title of “Norwegian Construction of the Century” in 2005.  From Vevang to Bud, the Road has been designated one of 18 National Tourist Routes

The Næroyfjord is an arm of the Sognefjord and is included on UNESCO World Heritage Site

Day 1

Today, we will take overnight flight to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, arrive the next day.

Day 2

Reykjavik — 149km — Snaefellsnes & Kirkjufell — 107km  —  Borgarnes   

<Itinerary>

After breakfast, depart for Snaefellnes peninsula. Sightseeing: Hellnar & Arnarstapi. Continue to Kirkjufell (Church Mountain), a 463 meter high mountain on Snaefellsnes peninsula and claimed to be the most photographed mountain in Iceland. We will overnight in Borgarnes.

Day 4

Borgarnes — 311km — Akureyki  — 53km  — Godafell —45km — Husavik

<Itinerary>

◎Akureyki is Iceland’s second city, also known as the garden city of the Arctic Circle

◎Godafoss (waterfall of the gods): The water falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 Meters. In the year 1000, the Lawspeaker Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði  made Christianity the official religion of Iceland. After his conversion, he threw his statues of the Norse gods into the water fall

◎Husavik was the first place in Iceland to be settled by a Norse man. The Swedish Viking Garðar Svavarsson stayed there for one winter around 870 A.D.  Husavki means “Bay of Houses”

★Whale watching Tour: Husavik is known for the Whale Capital. You might spot the Humpback Whale, Minke, Blue whale and dolphins

<Itinerary>

Myvatn is a volcanic lake in northern Iceland. It was formed during a massive eruption 2300 years ago. Today the area is best known for huge numbers of birds that visit in the summer, and volcanic features that surround the lake.

◎Black Sand Beach, one of the highlights is the 120 meter high promontory of Dyrholaey with its spectacular rock arch, bird nestling cliffs.  

◎Golden Circle sightseeing, includes magnificent Gullfoss, Geyser geothermal area

★Thingvellir National Park is the first national park in Iceland. Thingvellir is also where Iceland’s Parliament was founded in the year 930. This park is also two tectonic plates are drifting apart, which can be seen in the cracks and rock fractions which traverse the region

★Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), the second largest waterfall in Iceland. It takes a dramatic 32-meter Plunge into a canyon, creating stunning waterfall  

★Geyser geothermal area: The Great Geyser is an erupting hot spring, it can shoot up in the air as high As 70 meters

◎The North Atlantic Highway is located on the western coast of Norway, on Route 64 between Kristiansund and Molde. It has a total length of 8.3 kilometers and was opened in 1989. It spans eight small bridges and reefs along the coast, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful roads in the world.

◎The Trollstigen is a popular tourist road due to its numerous hairpin turns of Trollstigen and magnificent Mountain scenery. Along the way, Stigfossen waterfall falls 320 meters down the mountainside

◎The Eagle Road is a steepest section of Road 63 between Geiranger and Eidsdal. It offers breath-taking  Views
